In January 1906, the SS Valencia was bound for Seattle with 108 passengers and 65 crew members. Storms and poor navigation resulted in the ship crashing on rocks off Vancouver Island, BC. All but 37 perished. Few images remain of the SS Valencia, and none capture the tragic shipwreck.
Artist and author are available for book talks and exhibitions.
